"The Walking Dead" Minimates: WTH??

I'm a HUGE Walking Dead fan, but this is just stupid. I feel like it totally belittles the series/story/characters. What's the point? I don't know any adult who would play with these (and I know...there's probably some more extreme fan out there than me who LOVES this idea and WOULD play with them...) and kids probably shouldn't be watching the show! I don't see these being "collectables" any time soon. Tell me if I'm out of line!

This September, the world of Minimates will be invaded by zombies! The first series of Minimates based on the Walking Dead comic book by Robert Kirkman is scheduled to hit in September, and Diamond Select Toys is already hard at work on the second series, slated for a November release. Like the first assortment, every human character will come with a zombie, and there will be a zombie two-pack to help pad out your zombie herd.
