This webcomic BITES! Literally! After posting the press release for "Dark Horse Presents: The Sabertooth Vampire" earlier, I decided that I had to check it out for myself and I liked what I found! The webcomic shows snippets of the life of the poor, misfortuned vampire with fangs and fangs. It's HILARIOUS looking at the situations he gets into and how he handles them. Before I get too wordy, here's a sample!
So here's what I thought:
Creativity of Writing: 5/5 It takes a very creative mind to come up with a concept like this. And THEN to show the same idea in different creative, funny ways! Every page is based around the idea of him being stuck or having difficulty with his over-sized fangs, but it never gets old! I don't feel like Mike Russell is beating a dead horse. Every page cracks me up.
Creativity of Art: 3.5/5 As is, the webcomic isn't colored. I can't WAIT to see it in Dark Horse Presents! I love the sketchy style and the black-and-white contrast, but having seen it with color, I like it better that way. The color does a lot for it, aesthetically.
Overall Read Rating: 4/5 It's a good one! To my delight, it was EXTREMELY easy to be up-to-date on the published comics! Hooray! It's so hard to find webcomics that aren't a million pages in! That means it's time to jump on now! It's entertaining, it's creative, and it's easy to read. The panels are easy to follow and the design is clear.
Note to the Creator(s): I'd love to do an interview! I promise, it won't be the same-ol'-same-ol'!
