Be Aware: "My Germ-Free Bubble Pets" is AWESOME!!

When I visited San Diego Comic-Con this past summer, the week was filled with TONS of discoveries. One of these was the totally hilarious "My Germ-Free Bubble Pets". What sucked me in was the bright, cute business card. The story is created by Mitchell Bernal (Author) and  Martin Ansolabehere (Illustrator). The pair make a terrific team. Mitchell Bernal is the creator of Skelanimals and this blows me away. Sure, both "My Germ-Free Bubble Pets" and Skelanimals involve cute little pets...but I'm not sure if they could be any farther apart on style. To be able to be so versatile as a creator is awesome. Granted, he's the writer for this project...but it takes a certain mindset to create all the same. He also worked for Disney and his credits include Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin,The Lion King, Fantasia 2000, Mickey’s Philharmagic, Enchanted and others. "My Germ-Free Bubble Pets" could have had a dark setting (reminiscent of Skelanimals) but it doesn't. And how about Martin Ansolabehere?!? This guys is epic, too! Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Two Stupid Dogs, The Critic, and Rocko’s Modern Life are a few of the credits to his name. What a dynamite team! I'm such a fan of both of them!!! (Call me!) (Just kidding!) (Or am I?)

Ahem...well....

"My Germ-Free Bubble Pets" operates on the premise that a cat and a dog were born with very weak immune systems. Therefore, they have to live their days in a bubble. The family decides that one day, the pets are going camping. What happens next is an adventure that neither will forget! This book is a children's book. All I can say is "where was this book when I was a kid?!?". Drop by Amazon or the official website to snag a copy for yourself!
